About CCHE

The Canadian Centre for Home Education (CCHE) was formed in order to fill the void on a national scale for the need to do quality research in the area of home education and to train volunteer homeschool leaders from across the country.

CCHE is a charitable organization (Registration # 88648 4328 RR0001) incorporated by way of Trust Declaration. The Trustees are Dr. Dan Reinhardt (minister), Jack Baribeau (businessman), Mike Smith (lawyer), Gerald Huebner (agriculturist), and Dallas Miller Q.C.. The purposes of CCHE are twofold:

  • To advance home education by educating parents and leaders about the principles of effective home education.
  • To conduct research on academic, social and pedagogical aspects of homeschool education and to make the results of such research available to the public.

To achieve these purposes CCHE pursues the following activities (without limiting their generality):

  • Organizing and hosting national homeschool leaders' conferences;
  • Conducting regional training conferences for homeschool leaders; and
  • Providing logistical, educational and spiritual advice, support and counsel for homeschooling across Canada.
